Bordering the Kruger National Park and situated between the Timbavati and the Sabi Sand Reserves lies the 23,000 hectare Manyeleti Game Reserve. Manyeleti means, “The Place of the Stars” in the local Shangaan language. The Manyeleti Reserve is home to Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp. The camp offers breathtaking wildlife experiences at the same time as pampering the senses with meticulous service and superb cuisine. Morning and evening game tracking drives in open 4 x 4 vehicles bring you into close contact with the Big Five as well as the other aspects of the wildlife, and allows you to leave the camp with an unforgettable safari experience. Highly experienced guides will take you on foot to bring into clear focus the magic of the bush with its myriad of busy insects and resplendent birdlife.
Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is designed to reflect Hemingways’ Africa. The 12 Nehru-styled tents are nestled in a Tamboti grove overlooking a dry river bed. The reception areas comprise a large sitting area, indoor and outdoor areas, bar and climate controlled wine cellar. The tents are comfortably furnished with king-sized beds and soft leather couches. Each tent leads onto its own bathroom with concrete bath, double shower and separate toilet. Game visiting the nearby watering hole can be seen from the swimming pool deck adjoining the reception areas. Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp only accommodates children over the age of 12 years.

You are awoken to the sound of a beating drum calling you to come and experience a typical day in the bush with our experienced guides and trackers. Dinner is served in the main dining area or under African skies, in the boma or in the bush. Menus change daily and vary according to the season.
